Agnes paints amazing portraits. The colors are sometimes expected, occasionally astonishing and always brilliant. Full-on wow. When you look at the individual brush strokes you’re drawn in and, take it from me, you may not escape. Look for the signature border and background patterns. It took me scrolling all the way to the bottom and back to the top over and over again to find my favorite.
2. Jordy Kerwick

If a still life is your jam you won’t find a better creator than Kerwick. You oftentimes get a serving of 2D elegance, a small library, vased flowers and, if you’re lucky, some ferocious creature, all packed into a viewer’s delight. Captivating. Hard to look away and no need to.

George may be the man for photography. Simplicity, so well done, you can’t help but smile. Hats off.
4. Nick Runge

Watercolor maestro Runge. Someone help me understand - how does he do it? Super talent. Intriguing motifs (think old school divers and skeletons). Bold minimalist perfection. No surprise he’s the first artist I bought a work from on this list!

If you think great art is supposed to take you to another world then McKie’s version of the otherworld may be literally the best. It’s a whimsical world inhabited by recurrent curious objects. Pipes. Fights. Birds. Wolves. Hats. Mustaches. But my favorite are the dancing scenes. I’ll probably have to censure myself for saying this but if you don’t have a McKie in your collection then what on this great green earth are you doing?
So there’s the curated list for you. The only thing left to do is to buy up big today. Your walls will love you.
